I didn't find the answer to my question.
Q. Why do I have to log in to view my association's information? A. Certain information on shawneeowners.com is for the owners of timeshare in Shawnee Village only. This information includes billing information, association documents, minutes of board meetings and notices specific to certain timeshare villages. Q. How do I log in? A. In order to log in, you will be asked for three pieces of information from your association fee invoice: ID# For help finding these
codes on your invoice, please view our detailed
log-in instructions ( Q. I own more than one interval, should I list all of them when logging in? A. No, if you own more than one interval, you should log in for one interval at a time. If you are logged in under one interval, but wish to log in to a different interval, you must first log out, and then log in to the new interval. Q. Where can I get my log in information if I don't have a copy of my invoice? A. Fill out our inquiry form with as much information as you have, and be sure to note in the Question/Problem field that you need your log in information. The Administrator can then look up your account and provide you with your log in information.
Q. How does the Owner Interval Exchange program on the Web site work? A. The Owner Interval Exchange program was designed to enable owners to contact one another to arrange a trade of their intervals. It is not the same as an exchange network, and there is no "banking" or "depositing" of weeks. For more information, please review the instructions on the Owner Interval Exchange home page and the Rules for Exchanging. Q. If I list my interval on the trade listings on the Web site, have I then lost my right to use that interval? A. No, listing your interval on the Owner Interval Exchange listings does not commit you to anything. It simply lets other owners know that you are interested in swapping your week with someone. If no trade is completed, you retain the rights to your week. Likewise, you have the right to remove your interval from the listings at any point. Q. Why can't I view the listings before listing my own interval? A. In order to protect any owner who wishes to make a trade, we require all owners to list their interval prior to viewing the listings. This enables Interval Management, Inc. to verify that you have the right to trade your interval (fees are paid, you own the interval you say you own, you haven't banked or deposited with an exchange network, etc.) before you can contact another owner to arrange a trade. Q. What is a "tracking number" and where do I get one? A. A tracking number is provided via e-mail to every owner who is approved to list his interval for trading. Each submission is reviewed by employees of Interval Management, and within 48 hours, a tracking number is sent to all approved owners via e-mail. If your listing is not approved for any reason, you will receive an e-mail detailing the problem and instructions on how to correct the problem. Q. I submitted my listing over 48 hours ago and have not received a tracking number - what is the problem? A. In most cases, this happens because an e-mail address has been entered incorrectly. Sometimes it occurs because of a backup in our office. If you contact our Web Administrator, she can help you correct the problem. Q. I submitted my listing and received a tracking number, but I do not see my unit on the list. Where is it? A. Our system does not allow you to view your own listing. When the system was first implemented, many owners were confused and entered their own tracking number in the request box, thereby requesting a trade with themselves. In order to avoid this problem in the future, we have designed the program so that you do not view your own listing when you are searching for a trade. Q. I used the system to contact an owner about my interest in trading with him, but he hasn't responded, what should I do now? A. It's probable that the other owner has simply neglected to respond to your request. Unfortunately, many people choose not to respond to a request if they are not interested, although we do suggest that each request be responded to, even if it is just to say "sorry, not interested." If this happens to you, we suggest sending the request again. Most people just need a reminder to reply. It is also possible that the other owner has entered his e-mail address incorrectly and has never received your request. There is no way for us to know that, however, unless that owner contacts us with the correct e-mail address. Q. My interval is coming soon and I haven't yet arranged a trade. What should I do? A. If you are able to check in during your interval and use your time at Shawnee Village, then you don't need to do anything at all. We do suggest, however, that if your plans change and you are no longer interested in trading, you remove your listing. If you can not use your time at Shawnee Village, you should remove your listing NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS prior to the start date of your interval. This will insure that you have time to bank/deposit the week with an exchange network or list the unit for rental so that you do not use the benefit of your interval. If your interval passes and you have not traded it, used it, banked/deposited it, or rented it, you will lose the rights to that interval.
Q. What is the difference between Interval Management, Inc. and Interval International? Interval Management, Inc. (IMI) is the management company that takes care of your timeshare property in Shawnee Village. IMI does NOT handle exchanges to other resorts. Interval International (II) is a completely separate company and is an exchange network. If you are a member of II, you can bank your interval and exchange into other member resorts all over the world. We are also a member of Resort Condominiums International (RCI), another exchange network. You may opt to become a member of either II or RCI. Q. Can IMI bank/deposit my interval for me? No. If you wish to bank or deposit your interval, you must contact RCI or II directly. They can be reached online (just click anywhere in this article where you see RCI or II underlined to go to their Web site), or by telephone at: Interval
International - 1-800-828-8200 Q. Can I exchange my interval if I do not belong to an exchange network? Unless you want to trade back into Shawnee Village, you cannot exchange without being a member of either RCI or II. The online Owner Interval Exchange allows owners to trade with one another within Shawnee Village. This is a free service provided by Interval Management, Inc., and it is not the same as banking or depositing your interval. For more information, you should read the Owner Interval Exchange Rules. Q. Can you tell me if I have banked/deposited my interval, or how many intervals I have in the bank currently? Only your exchange network can answer those questions for you. Q. When I call RCI/II to spacebank/deposit my week, do they deposit my week immediately? Before depositing your week, RCI/II checks with Shawnee to make certain your association fees are up-to-date. Your week will be deposited once we have approved your deposit. Q. If my deposit is not approved, does anyone notify me? Yes, RCI/II will mail you a letter notifying you that your deposit was not approved. It is possible, however, that you may not receive this notice in time to re-deposit your week, especially if you're banking late. Your best bet is to make sure all your fees are current before attempting to deposit or spacebank. Q. If my deposit is denied due to unpaid fees and I subsequently pay, will my week be re-deposited automatically? No. You must call RCI/II and spacebank/deposit your week again. Q. How far in advance can I deposit my week? RCI/II allows you to deposit your week up to two years before that week begins. We will approve these deposits subsequent to the following conditions: in all Shawnee Villages but Ridge Top, you may bank one year in advance of payment of your association fee, as long as your current year association fees are paid. In Ridge Top, you are required to pay an estimated year's fee in an amount equal to the current year's fee in advance. If the actual fee for the coming year is more than the current year's fee, you will receive a bill for the difference. Q. Why do I have to pay so far in advance when all I am doing is depositing my week(s)? The terms and conditions of membership and/or exchange for RCI/II vary a little. However, both exchange companies state that by depositing a week or submitting an exchange request, members represent and warrant that they have the right to use or assign the home resort accommodations, and that all association fee assessments or similar charges have been paid through the date of the week being deposited or relinquished for exchange. Exchange privileges may be denied and a confirmation cancelled if all association fee assessments and similar charges at the home resort have not been paid. Q. How is my trading power determined? There are a number of factors:
Many of our owners trade in the week for another week at Shawnee. The comment cards you submit to RCI and II ARE counted toward our ratings, just as though you exchanged from another resort. While we want to know of any problems you may have encountered during your stay, in the long run, negative comments to RCI and II will diminish your trading power. Do yourself a favor and rate Shawnee favorably.
Q. What is Express Check-In? A. Express Check-In is a system we have devised to help owners who have paid their association fees in advance of check-in to decrease their wait time in the check-in line. Q. Can I check in early if I use Express Check-In? A. No, Express Check-In does NOT entitle you to check into your unit prior to 4:00 p.m. on the first day of your interval. It will, however, allow you to use the Express Check-In counter and shorten the amount of time you spend waiting in line to check-in. You can fill out the Express Check-In Form online, or contact the Check-In office for more information. Q. Can I use Express Check-In if I plan to pay my association fees when I arrive? A. No, Express Check-In is only for owners who have paid their association fees prior to their check-in date. Q. Can I use Express Check-In if I plan to arrive on a day during my interval other than the start date? A. Yes, although our busiest days are Saturday and Sunday, so we may not have personnel at the Express Check-In counter during off days. You have the right to check-in any time after 4:00 p.m. on the first day of your interval, including another day during your interval.
Q. What type of information is available on my village's pages that is not available to the general public? A. In order to view certain information, Shawnee Village Timeshare Owners are required to log in. Information resrtricted to Shawnee Village timeshare owners is as follows: Owner NewsletterAnnual Letter from Board of Directors Board Meeting Minutes Election Information Shawnee Commons Minutes Express Check-In Form Board Meeting Schedule Owner Interval Exchange Q. What does
it mean if I see this symbol -
A. Some association
documents on the shawneeowners.com are in the Adobe Acrobat format.
All links to these documents are marked with the Acrobat icon -
Q.
I use WebTV, and I can not access any files marked with the Adobe
Acrobat Icon ( A. WebTV does not support Adobe Acrobat. Owners who are using WebTV can still receive copies of all documents available on shawneeowners.com by sending an e-mail to the Board Liaison. The Board Liaison will send you copies of any requested documents via e-mail or regular mail, whichever you prefer. Q. Why aren't the minutes from the most recent board meeting available online? A. Minutes are posted shortly after they are approved. Minutes from one meeting are generally approved at the following meeting - generally 2 months later. The minutes you see on the Web site will always be the most recently approved minutes, but are usually anywhere from 2-4 months behind the actual date.
Q. Can I pay my association fees online with a credit card or personal check? A. Currently, we do not accept online payments for association fees. This is, however, an addition to the web site which is being discussed by the various boards of directors. Q. Can I e-mail you my credit card information to pay my association fee. A. NEVER e-mail your credit card information to anyone. E-mail itself is not necessarily secure, and hackers know ways to access the information you transmit via e-mail, including any credit card or personal information. If your owners associations decide to accept online payments, it will be through the use of a secure server. Q. Where should I send my association fee payment? A. You should mail your payment to: Interval Management, Inc. If you are making a credit card payment, you may do so by calling (570) 421-1500 ext. 1195 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. NEVER leave your credit card information on voice mail after office hours. Q. I don't see my question here, where can I get more information on association fees? A. For additional information on Association Fee invoicing and payments, see the letter from your Board of Directors, which is available after logging in on your village pages, or the newsletter article It's Annual Billing Time in the February 16, 2001 issue of Shawneeowners.com News.
Shawneeowners.com E-mail Newsletter Q. If I sign up for the newsletter, what will happen to my e-mail address? A. When you sign up for the Shawneeowners.com News, your e-mail address is automatically added to the list for this mailing and added to your contact information in your owner files at Shawnee. Neither Interval Management, Inc. nor Shawnee Development, Inc. will share your e-mail address or any other contact information with any other third party without your permission. Q. How do I benefit from receiving Shawneeowners.com News via e-mail? A. As an owner of deeded real estate and a member of a homeowners association, it is important to keep yourself up to date with the decisions and plans of your homeowners association. Whenever anything new or exciting is happening within Shawnee Village, we include the news in our monthly e-News. You will also be the first to receive any special offers that are being made either by Interval Management, Inc., your homeowners association, or through the VIP Program. Occasionally there is an important announcement that we need to get out to as many owners as possible in a short period of time. Obviously, e-mail is much faster and more cost effective than regular mail. By providing us with your e-mail address, we can contact you in these circumstances.
